After coming close to securing his maiden Australian Championship earlier this year New South Wales driver James Kovacic proved once again why he is one of the stars in Australian karting when he claimed the win at the NT Karting Titles this weekend.

Kovacic completed a clean sweep of the Junior National Light category aboard his Australian made Monaco kart by qualifying fastest on Saturday before going on to win both qualifying heats later that afternoon. He continued this form into this morning’s Pre-Final which he won to secure pole position for the Title Final.

Despite being challenged in the early Final Kovacic showed superior speed to take the victory ahead of Damian Ward and Garry Jacobsen. Local female driver Magdelaine Breed was amongst the front runners all weekend but spun out along with Corey James mid way through the Final.
