James debuted with the Intersport Team last year at Laguna Seca - taking a debut victory at his first ever race at the daunting circuit. Whilst keeping his eye in racing and studying for the HSC, with the West Cars Australia Team, (Sports Prototype Lites Race Cars) - James has kept his eye on the big picture and that means racing in one of motorsports top series - The American Le Mans Series in 2012

Intersport Team LMPC Race Car
Intersport is one of the founding teams of the American Le Mans Series, Intersport has established itself as a premier independent team in sports car racing. The Dublin, Ohio-based team has taken on mightiest of factory prototype teams in recent seasons and posted noteworthy class victories within that span including an LMP1 triumph at Detroit in 2008 and 2006 at Sebring.
Team Principal Jon Field has been working with James on the 2012 race seat ever since James' racing debut with the Team at Laguna Seca Raceway in 2010, where James won convicingly for the team at his first attempt at the circuiyt and in the class. Jon has said, "James is a very fast driver with loads of raw speed. We know that he can drive and he will slot into the LMPC car perfectly. We know that we can work on his raw speed and make him an even harder driver to beat. We are really looking forward to testing with James after he finishes high school this year and having a very successful year with James in 2012. We have done our best to accomodate James and I am sure that he is happy with what we have done for him."
James is confident that the Intersport Team is up to the task, "I have only worked with Jon and Clint for a very short period, however, they are an ace team and they race to win. Without a doubt I have a lot to learn as the LMPC is definately a very powerful race car and I have only been racing the West Race Cars here in Australia - which only have 1000cc motorbike engines. With Jon and Clint Fields help - I hope that I can get up to speed quickly and give myself all the chances to win the series".
With experienced drivers such as former Mclaren Test Driver and Grand Am Sportscar Champion Andy Wallace racing in the series - it will be a very hard fight.
