James’ record breaking results in the 2004 Rookie Class made
James seek tougher challenges.
After just one season in the Rookie Class, James upgraded to
the Junior Class. James became one of the youngest Junior
Drivers in Australia at the age of 11.
In 2005, James commenced racing in the Junior National Light
Class winning on debut.
In 2006, James commenced racing the Premier Junior Class
of Junior Clubman. Once again winning on debut.
James also commenced racing the World Kart Class of Junior
Max. Winning in his 2nd Race in this class collecting the
Sydney City Titles and Oran Park track record.
James became the youngest driver to win a Junior Clubman
State title. He was also the youngest driver to win a Junior
Clubman State title in his first attempt at the title in the
Junior Clubman Class.
James was the youngest driver to race in the 2006 Australian
Rotax National Titles. He was the 2nd fastest qualifier having
never raced the class and set the fastest time of the
meeting. Unfortunately a race incident took James out of
contention for the win in the Final only counts race.
