James’ first race in Junior Rotax Max was at 2006 Rotax Titles. -
James had only two practice sessions in this class.
James was the youngest driver in the field. He qualified
on the front row of the grid and had the fastest time in
the 1st heat and of the meeting. Disaster struck in the final
when he was hit off the track while he was in 2nd position.
He went from 2nd to last. He worked his way through the large
field and finished 6th running out of laps in the wet final.
